A quiet evening took an unexpected turn when seven-year-old Tyler called the police because his mother refused to let him have ice cream before dinner. Officer Bruce arrived to make sure everything was okay, only to discover that Tyler was perfectly safe and simply unhappy with his mother’s decision. What began as a childish complaint quickly became something more meaningful when Bruce noticed the family calendar and started asking questions.

Tyler explained that his mother often said she wasn’t hungry, gave him the larger portions, and saved treats for him.
